Another major lender set another major production record in July, the company said.
According to its latest production numbers, ABN AMRO set a new monthly record with its $15.5 billion in loans for the month. Of this amount, $12 billion was comprised of wholesale lending and $130 million was commercial lending.
All segments of lending increased year-over-year, the company reported, excepting the apartment lending division, which saw an 11 percent decrease from July 2002.
Overall, the company funded 85,800 loans during the month, it said.
The company’s National Lending Center reported production jump by 278 percent from last year.
Mortgage.com, the company’s online lending site, helped National Lending Center skyrocket in originations, said Jenn Cornell, a publicist for the company.
Year to date, ABN AMRO has funded loans totaling $87.8 billion, it said.
