Mortgage volume slowed at Bank of America.
Third quarter mortgage fundings of $41.9 billion were down 6 percent from the previous quarter and off 8 percent from the comparable period a year ago, BoA said in its supplement financial data report.
Of the quarter's volume, mortgage originations reportedly made up $21.2 billion and home equity originations the remaining $20.7 billion.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based banking behemoth said it serviced $230 billion in mortgage loans for investors as of Sept. 30.
Meanwhile, net income slipped from the second quarter to $5.4 billion, BoA said.
