Presentations will be made by some fast-growing mortgage firms during an upcoming mortgage investor conference. More than 130 industry events are scheduled during the next six months.
Mortgage Daily's Mortgage Conference Calendar has 44 events listed for June, while 23 are being held in July and eight are slated for August. In addition, 25 events are listed for September, 20 are scheduled in October and 14 will be held in November.
From June 2 until June 5, the National Notary Association is holding its 35th Annual Conference at the Renaissance Austin Hotel. Depending on the sessions selected and NNA membership, the cost will range from $135 to $649. Attendees will include executives from the nation's major lenders and title companies.
On the same dates, the 2013 Real Estate Expo is being held in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Fort Worth Convention Center and Omni Hotel. The National Association of Mortgage Field Services said it will sponsor the event, which costs between $99 and $799 depending on the registration date and the package purchased.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is hosting its Mastering the Basics: A Director's Challenge workshop from June 3 until June 5 at the Wyndham Dallas-Park Central. The workshop, which is designed exclusively for directors of institutions supervised by the OCC, costs $99 and is limited to 35 registrants.
Two other OCC workshops, Risk Assessment for Directors and Credit Risk: A Director’s Focus, are being held on June 11 and June 12 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The presenter list for the Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Mortgage Finance Conference being held on June 4 in New York is a whose who of up-and-coming companies in real estate finance. Among the names on the list are Nationstar Mortgage Holdings Inc., Ocwen Financial and Walter Investment Management Corp. Also on the agenda are CoreLogic Inc., PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust and PHH Corp.
In addition, other companies to announce that they will be making presentations include First American Financial Corp., Invesco Mortgage Capital Inc. and Radian Group Inc.
The Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco is where the American Conference Institute is holding its 8th National Summit on Preventing, Detecting and Resolving Mortgage Fraud. The two-day event starts on July 30 and costs between $1,795 and $2,195 depending on the registration date and selected package. Among the dozens of speakers scheduled to present are officials from the Department of Justice, the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Office of Inspector General.
From Sept. 5 until Sept. 7, the National Association of Mortgage Field Services Inc. is hosting the NAMFS 2013 Conference at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago. While the cost is $800 after July 15, discounts for early registration can reduce the price to as little as $250.
Ellie Mae announced that legendary hall of fame basketball coach Bob Knight will induct 10 firms into its Hall of Fame at an awards ceremony at the 2013 Ellie Mae Encompass Experience. The invitation-only event is being held from Oct. 13 until Oct. 16 at the Wynn Las Vegas. Registration fees range from $595 to $1,790 depending on the date of registration and sessions attended.
Dallas is the location of Financial Industry Computer Systems Inc.'s 28th Annual Users’ Conference. The event is scheduled to start on April 9, 2014, and run for three days. More than 200 lenders, servicers and industry partners attended the 27th Annual Users' Conference.
