A Dallas company is giving away down payments up to 10 percent. But recipients of the funds must be Hispanic.
Qualified Hispanic borrowers nationwide may use the gift funds from the Case de Sueno Down Payment Assistance program toward a down payment and, or, closing costs, HispanicLending.com announced Thursday.
"One of the biggest barriers to homeownership in America is saving the money needed for a down payment," stated founder and President Rick Troutman in the statement. "With the Casa de Sueno Down Payment Assistance Program, we may be able to provide the funds necessary to assist in purchasing a new home for many families who are trying to achieve the goal of homeownership."
The program is administered by AmeriDream, a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing affordable housing opportunities for low-to-moderate income individuals, according to the announcement.
HispanicLending.com says it is a real estate resources service for Hispanics that provides links to all the services required during the home buying process.
