Several banks — including the nation’s central bank — have recently announced changes to their executive lineups.
| Dr. Narayana Kocherlakota was named president and chief executive officer of the ninth district Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis as of Oct. 1, a news release said. Kocherlakota comes to the bank as a professor of economics at the University of Minnesota.
Over at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, Winthrop Watson was hired as chief operating officer, a statement last week said. Watson, who starts his new job on Nov. 18, is leaving his employer of 24 years — J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BA from the University of Virginia. O.B. Grayson Hall Jr. was named president and chief operating officer of Regions Financial Corp., a press release yesterday said. Hall has been with the Birmingham, Ala.-based bank for 29 years and became vice chairman in December 2008. The move was part of a succession plan in anticipation of the mandatory retirement of Regions Chairman and CEO Dowd Ritter in three years. IBERIABANK Corp. named James B. Gburek executive vice president and chief risk officer, according to an announcement Thursday. Gburek will hold the same positions at each of IBERIABANK’s financial institution subsidiaries. He previously worked at Wachovia Bank.

IBERIABANK, which is based in Lafayette, La., also announced that Lewis Rogers was named executive vice president and internal audit manager of the company and each of its financial institution subsidiaries. Rogers comes from a nine-year stint at Whitney National Bank.
Over in Middleburg, Va., Middleburg Financial Corp. named Raj Mehra as its chief financial officer. The bank-holding company noted that Mehra worked at another community bank, but didn’t say which.
