Many of the executives recently named to senior management posts at mortgage lenders have been promoted from within. A distressed loan servicer has brought on an executive who worked for both government-sponsored enterprises, and a growing Florida firm has hired two executives — including one with time at two of the big-three mortgage lenders.

A recent statement from Pulaski Financial Corp. indicated that Brian Boyles was hired as president of the company’s mortgage division. In addition, he’ll join Pulaski Bank’s management executive committee.

Boyles reportedly has more than 15 years’ experience in residential lending.

The Federal National Mortgage Association lost David Johnson last year, a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission late last year said. Johnson joined the Washington, D.C.-based company as chief financial officer in late 2008.

Deputy CFO David C. Hisey took over Fannie Mae’s CFO slot on an interim basis until a permanent replacement for Johnson is found. Hisey has been with Fannie since 2005.

Paul V. Scott, founding partner and chief executive officer of Foundation Financial Group, has relinquished his CEO role and will lead the company’s board of directors as chairman. Scott explained in a Jan. 11 statement that he will be taking on a more strategic role at the Jacksonville, Fla.-based lender.

Foundation executive vice president Mark W. Boyer has been promoted to CEO. Boyer has served as a spokesman for the company during the six years he has worked there.

In New York, David DiStaso was promoted to CFO, iStar Financial Inc. said in a December news release. His previous role was chief accounting officer, a title he held since 2008. DiStaso previously spent 11 years at the CIT Group Inc, where his last title was CFO of the consumer finance division.

Connie Queralt was promoted by The Kislak Organization to director of accounting and human resources, the Miami Lake, Fla.-based lender recently announced. The 25-year accounting veteran has worked at Kislak for 13 years.

Another Kislak appointment was Edward Scott’s to senior VP and southeast divisional manager. From Melbourne, Fla., he will oversee a Florida expansion and supervise branches based in the state.

Scott spent 11 years overseeing JPMorgan Chase’s mortgage sales and operations in the Southeast. Just before joining Kislak, Scott worked for Wells Fargo.

White Plains, N.Y.-based Guaranteed Home Mortgage Company Inc. said last month that Paul Levine was recruited as fulfillment manager. Levine will be responsible for analyzing and increasing underwriting efficiency.

Levine was principal of Strategic Analytics Advisors before his new gig at 18-year-old Guaranteed. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer at Refinance.com.

BluFi Direct Mortgage disclosed in November that Ronald S. Zaccaria was recruited as VP of sales. The 17-year veteran reportedly has a strong background in call-center platforms. He was previously employed by GMAC and Novastar Mortgage.

As the new VP of mortgage originations at TruHome Solutions LLC, Jeff Vossen will direct all of the credit union service organization’s originations. Vossen left his job as SVP of mortgage lending at American National Bank to take on his new roll. Another of Vossen’s prior employer is First Horizon Home Loan Corp.

At distressed loan servicer Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, E.J. Kite was hired to fill the newly created position of senior vice president of information management, a news release indicated. Before his new job, Kite was the management information systems director at Fannie for three years. He also worked for 20 years at Freddie Mac, where he started in 1984.

Kite met Wingspan Founder and CEO Steve Horne while working together in 2005 at Resurgent Capital Services.

Lenders One Mortgage Cooperative hired Bonnie Hudsonk as national programs account executive, a statement last week said. Her new position calls for her to handle marketing of products and services.

An earlier announcement indicated that Brad Padratzik was also hired as national programs account executive at Lenders One.

The new Orlando, Fla., district manager at Prospect Mortgage is Chris Wasinger, a Jan. 19 statement said. Wasinger, who came from Mercantile Bank, was president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Central Florida in 1995 and 1996.

Now handling Southwest Missouri for Guaranty Bank’s mortgage center is Brad Farris, a Nov. 29, 2010, press release indicated. He worked at his own firm, Farris Mortgage, since founding it in 2003. He hosts The Guaranty Bank Mortgage Hour with Brad Farris on KWTO AM.
