Business is good at Carrington Mortgage Services. So the company is recruiting more than a hundred new employees and could expand its staff by hundreds more if it closes on two pending deals.
The open positions are in mortgage servicing and lending. New recruits will work in locations across the country.
Among the available jobs are home retention specialists, loan administration tax specialists and loan administration escrow analysts. Also being recruited are loan counselors who will be responsible for collecting on delinquent accounts as assigned through a predictive dialer.
The Santa Ana, Calif.-based company hopes to fill the open positions by January.
Carrington spokesman Rick Sharga said in a telephone interview that between 100 and 120 new recruits are expected to be hired.
“We’re anticipating closing a couple contracts as soon as, potentially, this week,” Sharga said, “which could require us to find another couple hundred people.”
On the origination side, three new regional managers have already been hired, according to Sharga. One of the new managers is in Southern California, while another is in Northern California and the third is in Seattle.
“Our lending business is growing and our servicing business is growing, so we’re one of the fortunate ones,” he added.
While many of the open jobs are in Southern California, positions are available across the country.
One of those areas is Fishers, Ind., where Carrington is holding a job fair Thursday at the Holiday Inn Express. The location is already home to around 50 Carrington employees.
Prospective employees are being directed to the company’s Web site at www.carringtonms.com/webapps/cms/careers.do and to Carrington recruiters Tracy Flippen ([email protected]) and Dorothy Mckenzie ([email protected]).
