Quicken Loans Inc. has hired hundreds of new employees over the past two quarters. Today it is recruiting 75 more.
The Livonia, Mich.-based lender hopes to fill 75 positions through a job fair today in its home town, Quicken spokesman Aaron Emerson told MortgageDaily.com in a statement.
In addition to “mortgage bankers,” the jobs include technology and operations positions. The employees will operate from multiple Michigan locations.
“The applicants will have an initial on-the-spot interview today and will then follow our standard interview process,” Emerson explained.
Quicken, which plans to move its headquarters to Detroit this summer, said continued growth is driving the hirings. The online lender more saw originations more than double from 2008 to $25 billion last year.
“I can tell you we have been adding about 60 – 80 team members each of the last five or six months,” the spokesman added.
As of January, Quicken had 3,000 employees.
