U.S. Bank, N.A., is expanding its mortgage staff in Kentucky.
The Minneapolis-based bank plans to add 50 new jobs at its Louisville Road Mortgage Operations Center in Bowling Green, according to a statement yesterday.
A spokeswoman told MortgageDaily.com that nine of the jobs will be added during the next month, while 41 will be hired as the center is renovated and space becomes available.
After the additions, headcount at the center will be 170.
Bowling Green was selected as a growth spot for U.S. Bank because of the high quality pool of employee prospects, including graduates of Western Kentucky University, U.S. Bank Home Mortgage Senior Vice President Dan Prather explained in the statement.
U.S. Bank additionally said it recently expanded its Owensboro, Ky., mortgage service center to accommodate as many as 1,000 employees.
