A mortgage service provider is hoping to immediately fill more than a hundred openings for mortgage production jobs. The recruitment campaign follows the recent hiring of more than 300 employees and is part of a bigger plan to create more than a thousand jobs.
In December 2009, North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue announced that Zenta Mortgage Services planned to create 1002 new jobs over the following five years. At the time, the New York-based company had 263 employees in Charlotte.
A news release today said more than 350 “professionals” have been hired in Charlotte since the announcement late last year.
In addition, there are immediate openings for over 100 more full-time employees in Charlotte.
Zenta is hiring underwriters and processors as well as team leaders and operations managers.
The company said it will consider mid-career professionals with related mortgage experience for the open jobs.
Zenta, which provides outsourcing services to financial services companies, is seeing strong demand — likely the result of fixed rates teetering near 4 percent.
Today’s statement from the outsourcing firm indicated interviews are being conducted from Aug. 10 to Aug. 11.
“We have been impressed with the range of skills and knowledge that the Charlotte labor market offers and continue to see it as an ideal location for continued growth,” Zenta Senior Vice President David Jones said in the press release.
