| A fast-growing New York-based lender is boosting its East Coast presence.
Topdot Mortgage will add 65 mortgage specialists in Boca Raton, Fla., during the next six months, according to an announcement today. The new hires will bring to 120 the number of employees at the recently-expanded location. “The decision to expand not only reflects confidence in the area’s workforce, but also the belief that the region will be one of the company’s fastest-growing markets during the next few years,” the statement said. “We have done a great amount of second-home and residential investment property lending” in South Florida, an executive added. The Long Island-based mortgage banker, which says it was founded in 1995 as a mortgage broker, will add up to 29 new jobs in its home state during the next several months, a spokesman told MortgageDaily.com in an e-mail statement. Topdot also expanded its office space in New York. Topdot says its 18 offices are licensed in 38 states currently and it plans to expand by several states this year. Production was $2.5 billion during 2005 — the third year the company doubled volume, Topdot reported. |
