| Traffic Up 20% At MortgageDaily.com
Weekend Usage Down Since September 11
IRVING, TX (November 2, 2001) MortgageDaily.com announced today that user sessions during October were 36,668, a twenty percent increase from the prior month. The increase follows a decrease in September, which was down six percent from August.
While user sessions were up, page views fell 15% from September to 80,346. The company attributes the drop in page views to fewer sensational mortgage industry events during October.
MortgageDaily.com founder, Sam Garcia, also attributes the drop in page views to changes in traffic patterns since September 11th. "Prior to September 11th, we were seeing weekend traffic that was closing in on weekday traffic levels," said Mr. Garcia. "After the attacks, we saw weekend traffic fall off significantly."
Compared to December 2000, traffic was up 881%. October's traffic was 65 percent higher than ninety days ago.
During October, more traffic originated from Austria than any other country except the United States .
