A number of branch offices have been recently opened by mortgage lenders, and all of the new locations are in the eastern half of the country.

Mortgage Master said last month that it opened a Rye, N.Y., branch. Jonathan Yellon was named branch manager of the new location.

The Walpole, Mass.-based lender reports that the Rye branch brings to 27 the number of retail branch offices it operates in the Northeast.

Mortgage Master, which reports national headcount of 700, posts its recruiting information at www.mortgagemaster.com/corporate/jobs.

In Carmel, Ind., Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group Corp. opened a new branch. A news release Monday said that the location will be the "cornerstone" of its midwest expansion. Ten-year mortgage veteran Eric Covington is the branch manager.

Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Gold Star said its growth strategy is leading to rapid national expansion. Information about branch opportunities is available at www.goldstarbranch.com.

With the addition of JC Jimenez and his team, NFM Lending now operates new branches in New Jersey, Virginia and West Virginia. Jimenez focuses on the Hispanic market.

NFM's website is at www.nfmbranch.com.

Chris Robards was hired to run a Fridley, Minn., branch for GSF Mortgage Corp., a news release last week said. Recruiting information for the Brookfield, Wis.-based company is posted online at www.gogsf.com.

An announcement Tuesday from AnikimCreditCorp.com indicated that top mortgage net branch companies are looking to open brick and mortar locations in Houston and other large cities in Texas. AnikimCreditCorp.com provides recruiting services for mortgage bankers.

More information is available at www.AnikimCreditCorp.com.

Five new branches were opened by MCS Mortgage Bankers Inc., the New-York-based firm announced last month. One branch is in Pennsylvania, another is in Illinois and the other three are in New Jersey.

MCS says its retail branch count in the tri-state area stands at 15.

A new branch was opened in Sterling Heights, Mich., by Ross Mortgage Corp., the company said earlier this month. In addition to Ross Branch Manager Tony Abate, several new employees have been hired for the office.

Total branch count in Michigan for Troy, Mich.-based Ross Mortgage stands at 16.
