|Marketing, servicing and credit unions are among some of the topics scheduled for discussion at upcoming mortgage-related conferences. Other events will touch upon real estate valuations, quality assurance and the Federal Housing Administration.
From Sept. 5 through Sept. 7, the National Association of Mortgage Field Services is hosting the 2013 NAMFS XXV Conference and Expo at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
Member registration costs $600, while nonmembers pay $800. A "Gives Back Event" during the conference will benefit the homeless.
Fay Servicing announced that its general counsel and chief compliance officer, Loren Morris, will contribute to the policies of foreclosure compliance panel at the Five Star Conference and Expo. The $1,195 event takes place from Sept. 8 through Sept. 10 at the Hilton Anatole and will feature former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, former first lady Laura Bush and former congressman Barney Frank as keynote speakers.
The North Carolina Bankers Association is holding the American Mortgage Conference from Sept. 9 until Sept. 11 at the Marriott Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, N.C. Attendance fees range from $500 to $600. American Enterprise Institute Resident Fellow Edward Pinto will speak at the session, Road to FHA Reform.
The Risk Management & Quality Assurance Forum 2013 will take place from Sept. 10 through Sept. 12 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix. Hosted by the Mortgage Bankers Association, the convention costs between $1,105 and $1,515 and will cover critical issues facing real estate finance.
The Columbia Marriott in Columbia, S.C., is the location of the workshop, Mastering the Basics: A Director's Challenge. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is holding the $99 workshop from Sept. 16 through Sept. 18 for directors of national community banks and federal savings associations.
The Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas is holding its 58th Annual Convention, The Art of Lending, from Sept. 21 through Sept. 23 at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort and Spa in Hilton Head, S.C. Registration is priced from $325 to $575 depending on occupation and membership status.
Executives from Facebook and Twitter will be among the keynote speakers at the ABA Marketing Conference being held from Sept. 22 through Sept. 24 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio in Texas. The American Bankers Association is charging between $1,290 and $1,690 to register for the event -- which will have its own mobile phone application to help navigate and plan for the event.
The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas is the location of the ACUMA 2013 Fall Conference from Sept. 22 through Sept. 25. Registration costs between $999 and $1,500.
Fourteen bankruptcy judges will participate in the 33rd Annual Midwestern Bankruptcy Institute event on Oct. 4. Hosted by the American Bankruptcy Institute and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, the meeting will also include top national and regional speakers on the hottest developments.
U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Mo.) will be the keynote speaker at ALFN & REOMAC Advocacy Day on Oct. 10 at the Westin National Harbor in Washington, D.C. Legislators will be presented with key issues including the CFPB, billing, fees and audit practices, and GSE reform.
The American Bankruptcy Institute is hosting its Sixth Annual Chicago Consumer Bankruptcy Conference on Oct. 14 at the Gleacher Center at The University of Chicago. Attendees will pay between $200 and $250, depending on the payment date and membership status, to learn about current issues affecting debtors and creditors in consumer cases.
On Nov. 21 and Nov. 22, the Mortgage Servicing Compliance conference is being hosted by the American Conference Institute at the Washington Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C. Registrants will pay between $1,995 and $2,295 to attend the event.
The American Enterprise Institute said that 160 people attended its International Conference on Collateral Risk, while another 90 watched the online version. Next year's conference will be held on Sept. 17 and Sept. 18.
Record attendance was reported for the CU Members Mortgage's 16th annual National Lending Conference in Dallas last month. CU Members Mortgage Senior Vice President Linda Clampitt noted that attendee feedback "was very positive."
