Terri Little, an originator for Morgan Financial’s Pahrump Valley branch, said she began racing desert off-road about a decade ago. Moving into the Mini Stock division just a year ago, Little said she has placed sixth overall in the circuit that consists of about 35 contenders at Pahrump Valley Speedway.

Her car is a 1991 four-cylinder Geo Storm that was on its last legs and has since been rebuilt with the help of her husband Cory, Little told MortgageDaily.com. “My favorite saying is ‘can they make it go any faster?'” Little said with a laugh. “I love to go fast, I love racing … I am very competitive.” A self-professed adrenaline junkie, Little said she is seeking sponsorship that will help her to move up to IMCA Modified and Morgan Financial is debating the opportunity. Morgan branch manager Jerry Threet told MortgageDaily.com the Chandler, Ariz.-based corporate office has been contacted regarding sponsoring Little and they are awaiting a response; which he said might prove favorable. “She’s doing good, getting trophies and getting her name out there,” Threet said.

Threet attended one of Little’s racing events and witnessed his colleague take third place that day. “She was out there lapping people and winning,” he said. “It was a neat experience to see someone I know out there.”Little said her weekends racing also consist of networking to build up her client base in the small town she serves.

“It’s a nice warm market,” she said. “I live in a small town, I’m getting to know everyone and there has been a lot of press lately.”

The 32-year-old, five-foot-eight, 145 lbs. blond said she would also be featured in the next Pahrump Valley Speedway calendar.

If she could, she’d race NASCAR. But for now, her plans are to continue originating loans, which she does in a “speedy” manner, she said.

“I know I won’t be in NASCAR,” she said, paused and then added, “It would be wonderful but I highly doubt it.”
