|CHERRY HILL, New Jersey -- (Dec. 27, 2017) Employees of E Mortgage Management (EMM), EMM Wholesale and EMM Financial contributed gifts to the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program Croc Center in Camden, one of 26 Salvation Army Kroc Centers nationwide, providing clothing and toys for children at Christmas. According to Kevin Crichton, EMM President and Chief Operating Officer, "EMM's participation in the Salvation Army Angel Tree Gift Program is our way of giving back to community. While the EMM team may never see the face of the person they have helped, we know that our contribution to the Salvation Army Angel Tree Gift Program will give joy and confidence to those who truly need it most."
Along with the familiar Red Kettles, the Angel Tree program is one of The Salvation Army's highest profile Christmas efforts. Angel Tree was created by The Salvation Army in 1979 by Majors Charles and Shirley White when they worked with a Lynchburg, Virginia shopping mall to provide clothing and toys for children at Christmas time. Since then, the tradition has expanded and now is the cornerstone of The Salvation Army's Christmas efforts. Angel Tree gives individuals and partnering corporations an opportunity to adopt less fortunate children and seniors and provide them with personalized gifts and necessities to those who would otherwise receive very little or nothing during the holiday season.
EMM and its employees have made other contributions to community. Most recently, Crichton collaborated with employees of EMM who went on a mission they referred to as "Operation Table Drop" where a moving truck was rented and over the weekend prior to Thanksgiving they went on a 30+ hour non-stop drive through 8 states from New Jersey to Georgia to deliver a dining room set to a family in need, in time for a Thanksgiving celebration of good will. Additionally, EMM collaborated with its employees and other community members through The United Way and The Red Cross, donating palettes of bottled water to hurricane victims of the southern states and Puerto Rico. Other EMM donations included office furniture to San Diego, California Habitat ReStore, a discount home improvement center that sells donated building materials to fund the construction of more Habitat homes in the San Diego County area. EMM hosted a food drive with The Food Bank of South Jersey, a non-profit organization that provides an immediate solution to the urgent problem of hunger by providing food to needy people, teaching them to eat nutritiously, and helping them to find sustainable ways to improve their lives.
EMM's Founder and Chief Executive Officer Gregory Englesbe, recognized for his many contributions to philanthropic causes.
Crichton, along with his wife, were recently honored by Rowan University for their vital support and generous donation that helped fund a new four-story, 98,300 square-foot academic building and enabled Rowan to expand and enroll additional faculty and students and will serve to improve the quality of the university's offerings as well as providing solutions to the state's business community.
