The results are in, and a number of mortgage-related firms are claiming the distinction of being recognized among the best employers.
A March 4 news release from PrimeLending indicated that the Dallas-based company took the fourth spot among the top 10 large companies on the Great Rated! People's Picks: 20 Great Workplaces in Finances Services list.
The list was the result of anonymous survey of employees as
part of PrimeLending's participation in the annual FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For competition.
"This national top 10 ranking complements PrimeLending's regional top 10 ranking in The Dallas Morning News' Top 100 Places to Work competition for three years in a row -- 2012, 2013 and 2014," the statement said.
In the San Francisco Bay area, Ellie Mae Inc. said in April that it was
named one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times and the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal. It was the third time on the list for the Mortgage Daily advertiser.
"Considering how many fantastic companies there are in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley, being recognized as one of the best places to work is a huge honor," Ellie Mae President and Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Corr said in the statement. "We have made an effort to create a fun and inclusive culture in which innovation and creative ideas can thrive and where everyone feels valued."
Additionally in Northern California, National Mortgage Insurance Corp. said in April that it made the
San Francisco Business Times' Best Places To Work list. It was also listed in same ranking at the Silicon Valley Business Journal's. It was among the top-10 companies in both cases.
Emeryville, California-based company said its competitive compensation and benefits, a balanced work-life environment and an innovative culture that fosters employee creativity and contribution was behind its standing.
Inlanta Mortgage said Monday that the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel named it a Top Workplace for 2015. It was the third time it has been named to the list.
Brookfield, Wisconsin-based Inlanta reports a staff of nearly 250 people. Its branch count is 34.
For the second year in a row, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp. said it has been voted the best company to work for among more than 200 mortgage companies. The Madison, Wisconsin-based firm says headcount is 2,500, while it has 200 locations.
The Center for Generational Kinetics and Best Companies Group has recognized HomeBanc, N.A., as one of the Best Places to Work for Millennial Employees in America, a May 28 announcement said. More than 3,000 companies were considered, and 75 made the cut.
Tampa, Florida-based HomeBanc said it was ranked as the top-rated bank on Florida Trend magazine's Best Companies to Work for in Florida list for the third year in a row. In 2004, it was at the top of that list.
