Several real estate finance firms recently touted how they have been recognized by local news publications as the best employers in their cities.
Union Home Mortgage Corp. said Monday that The Plain Dealer recognized it as one of the 100 Top Workplaces for 2016 in Northeast Ohio.
It reportedly was the second consecutive year for the Strongsville, Ohio-based mortgage banking company to make the Cleveland paper’s ranking.
The statement said that the list was based on a 22-question employee survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics LLP.
In
Tennessee, Churchill Mortgage Corp. was named as a Top Workplace by The Tennessean, a news release Monday state. Turns out, according to Churchill, it was the fourth year in a row the Brentwood, Tennessee-based company made the list.
Churchill, which noted that the ranking was also based on a Workplace Dynamics survey, indicated that it has hired 130 people since last year.
Current recruiting efforts are focused on Nashville.
“Churchill remains dedicated to providing its employees with significant benefits and the best work experience,” the statement said. “The lender has now entered into its third full year of its employee stock ownership plan, which allows employees to benefit from the value of annual allocations of stock in the parent company.”
The Washington Post included CoesterVMS on its 2016 list of the 150 best employers, the appraisal management company announced Monday. The ranking was also based on a Workplace Dynamics survey.
The National Credit Union Administration announced last week that it ranked on DiversityComm Inc.’s Best of the Best place to work for minorities and women. The NCUA said it has consistently ranked as a best place to work by DiversityComm over the last three years.
“As part of its efforts to create a more diverse and inclusive workforce, NCUA pursued several initiatives in 2015, including recruitment, leadership development, outreach and training,” the regulator stated. “All of NCUA’s employees and leadership received diversity-awareness training during the year.”
A May 18 note from Royal United Mortgage LLC Vice President Compliance Tim Meehan
said that Mortgage Daily’s May 17 story about best employers missed his company.
“Your publication missed the fact that Royal United Mortgage in Indianapolis was also named best place to work,” Meehan said.
While Meehan didn’t respond to a request for more information, Royal United’s website says it was recognized by The Indianapolis Star among the Top Work Places 2016.
Carrington Mortgage Services LLC reported on May 24 that it was No. 33 on the 50 Best Companies to Work For ranking from Mortgage Executive Magazine. The ranking reportedly reflected results from 10,000 surveyed loan originators.
Also making Mortgage Executive’s top-50 list was Sierra Pacific Mortgage Company Inc., a May 18 news release indicated.
