Among mortgage loan originators who are considered to be among the best in the country, earning the borrower’s trust is a common theme.
Craig Kessler is among the originators considered to be among the nation’s 10-best. He works for Freedmont Mortgage, a division of Allied Mortgage Group.
He says that he tells customers factual information, not what they want to hear just to make a sale. This sometimes ends up with him losing the loan.
“I keep the trust of those who stick with me,” Kessler explained. “Trust and a good reputation are very important in my business and personal life.”
Kessler was among more than 10,000 loan officers for whom reviews were collected for the 2016 Top 25 Loan Officers in the United States for Customer Satisfaction from SocialSurvey.
The survey
included a customer satisfaction index that was reportedly derived from nearly 50,000 verified customers.
Kessler, who had 88 reviews, received 5.0 stars. The number of reviews per originator ranged from 82 to 309.
Brenda Brosnan, who originates for Summit Funding, received 5.0 stars.
She says that clients expect no surprises, “closing on-time and with figures at closing, as promised.” Brosnan claims she has never had a loan declined.
Saying that originators are only as good as their word was Ryan Eberhardt of Diamond Residential Mortgage.
His rating was five stars. He noted that both his clients and his referral partners “have the utmost respect for me and value my word like it is gold because I’ve never gone back on it.”
Vickie Lasher, who is employed by American Financial Network, was rated at 5.0 stars.
She says she is always available for her clients and puts them at ease for this most important decision.
“The people that work in my office joke around and say I am part loan officer, part therapist. … My clients’ trust means the world to me,” Lasher stated.
Also receiving 5.0 stars was Artem Mikhelson. The Seckel Capital staff member said he
stays true to his offers, never baits and switches, and always locks when possible. In addition, he becomes friends with borrowers and always delivers as promised even when means losing money.
Hallmark Home Mortgage’s
Giuseppe Battaglioli, who received 4.9 stars, says his clients are “guaranteed an on-time, under-budget, no-surprise closing.”
TJ Jager, who works for Primary Residential Mortgage Inc., received 4.9 stars. He explained that communication is the foundation of the entire transaction, and he provides weekly updates to customers.
With 4.9 stars, Parkmont Lending’s Michael Matthews explained that trust starts with accountability.
He said that it’s important that originators address issues that emerge and are out of their control.
Diamond Residential Mortgage’s Chris Schaller earned 4.9 stars. He attributed his insight and knowledge for his reputation.
Additionally receiving 4.9 stars was Kevin Watson of Churchill Mortgage Corp. He credits his team and their ability to communicate.
“I take care of the front-end client consulting and work through Mortgage Coach to prepare a total cost analysis to show our clients the best options for their family,” Watson explained. “Then I trust my team, Mary Wilder, Melissa Cole and Jenny Moehle to take excellent care of our clients and anticipate what is needed before they request it.”
