While there have recently been some C-Suite changes in real estate finance, there have been several mid-level mortgage executives who have either been promoted or recruited to fill vacancies.

On July 14, Capstead Mortgage Corp. announced that Phillip A. Reinsch was named president and chief executive officer. He replaces Andrew F. Jacobs, who resigned and left the board of directors.

Reinsch has been with the Dallas-based organization
since 1993, most recently as treasurer since 2015. He reportedly is a certified public accountant who previously worked for Ernst & Young LLP.

GSF Mortgage announced on July 15 that Debbie Beier has been promoted to chief operating officer from general manager. Her more than two decades in the business includes eight years at GSF.

At Stonegate Mortgage Corp., Bill Dyson has been named senior vice president, distributed retail, a July 20 statement said. He reportedly spent 16 years at Citibank.

Earlier this month, Indianapolis-based Stonegate said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Michael McElroy has resigned as general counsel. McElroy, who joined the company in 2013, left “to pursue other opportunities.”

Filling in as interim general counsel is David Kress, who is Stonegate’s associate general counsel. Kress started with Stonegate in 2014.

The new west division manager for correspondent lending at Pacific Union Financial LLC is Jon Grafflin, an announcement Wednesday said.
His LinkedIn profile indicates he was last an account executive for nine years at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

In the same statement, Irving, Texas-based Pacific Union said Scott Vieregg and Brian Herbert have joined the company as regional mangers.
Based on his LinkedIn profile, Vieregg’s prior employers include Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, US Bank Home Mortgage and MGIC.

Pacific Union reports a mortgage servicing portfolio of $21 billion.

Gina Simpson has joined Union Home Mortgage Corp. as marketing manager, according to a July 19 press release.
This appears to be Simpson’s first gig in the mortgage business.

In Rockville, Maryland, Brian Blonder was promoted to senior vice president, mortgage sales, at Capital Bank, N.A., a news release last week said.
The statement said he is “a nationally ranked Top 10 loan officer.” He started with Capital Bank two-and-a-half years ago.

Reverse mortgage lender HighTech Lending said on July 14 that John Loveless was hired as national business development manager of reverse wholesale and branching.
Loveless was recruited from Proficio Mortgage Ventures LLC, where he was president.

A day earlier, Sierra Pacific Mortgage announced that Joe Carroll was brought on as retail regional manager. He’ll handle recruiting and support existing branches in Southern California. Among Carroll’s prior employers are Bank of America Corp. and Countrywide Home Loans.
