A new branch opening at Primary Residential Mortgage Inc. is expected to be followed by more than dozen more. In addition, dozens of hirings are planned.
The Salt Lake City-based mortgage banking firm said this week that it opened a new branch in its home state. The new Orem branch is the 14th in Utah.
PRMI”s new branch — one of nearly 300 — will be jointly managed by
Jim Hoggan, Christopher Jensen and Julie Crow, according to the announcement.
“We are thrilled to be opening up this branch in our own backyard,” PRMI President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Zitting said in the statement. “This management team has more than 60 years of experience between them, they are experts in our industry and we are pleased they have joined our PRMI team to help our neighbors achieve home ownership.”
PRMI said its goal is to open another 15 new branches during the next three months.
In addition, the home lender has plans to expand its staff.
In a written statement, PRMI spokeswoman Kandice Davis said that the company hopes to hire another 73 employees over the next three months.
The 18-year-old company reported that headcount stands at more than 1,800 people.
