Dozens of jobs in real estate finance are being added by Stonegate Mortgage Corp. in the Grand Canyon state.
The publicly traded mortgage banking firm said Wednesday that it is
expanding operations at its Stonegate Direct division.
The unit
provides direct-to-consumer home lending offerings, according to the statement. Prospective borrowers have 24-hour access to mortgage advisors.
“The division enhances and simplifies the customer experience and home loan application process for qualified customers by providing consumer-direct, quick, secure online access for consumers looking to refinance their homes,” Stonegate explained. “The consumer focus caters to priorities of millennial customers, a market that has become increasingly present in the residential mortgage space.”
A Stonegate Direct call center is located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
To accommodate the planned growth, nearly 50 people are being recruited in the Scottsdale area.
The open positions include mortgage advisors, operations jobs and office support professionals.
“These expansion efforts reflect the new technologies and innovative, consumer-focused processes being introduced to the mortgage space,” the news release said. “The progressive nature of the industry is a direct result of customers’ changing priorities.”
In December 2014, Indianapolis-based Stonegate Mortgage disclosed plans
to add more than 175 Stonegate Direct jobs in Orange County, California.
In March of last year, a news release from the Indiana Economic Development Corp. said 400 Indiana jobs were on the docket for Stonegate Mortgage.
