The latest list of the nation’s top-producing Latino mortgage originators is out, and two of the five-biggest producers are loan officers at Guild Mortgage Co.
Among all of the 250 biggest Latino originators in the United States, mortgage production amounted to $7.39 billion during 2017.
Business among the top Latino originators retreated compared to 2016, when the group collectively generated $8.19 billion in loan originations.
Last year’s findings were presented in the
annual Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originators Report from the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.
At the top of the list was Elizabeth Hoeffer Irvine. The Arizona resident is employed by San Diego-based Guild.
Also from Guild
was Jorge Montoya, who grabbed the fourth spot from his home in Nevada.
No. 2 Alex Varela is on the payroll of PrimeLending in Texas. Last year, Varela was No. 1.
Norma Guerrero-Cowes was in third position. She hangs her hat at DHI Mortgage in Texas.
Carlos Larrazabal landed in spot No. 5. He is works for Sandy Spring Bank in Virginia.
Wells Fargo & Co.. employed the most originators who made the list.
Among non-bank lenders, New American Funding had the most originators on the list: 39.
“There is always a highly skilled mortgage originator behind the most successful real estate agents in the industry,” NAHREP President Daisy Lopez-Cid said in the report. “The superstars in the NAHREP Top 250 are some of the best mortgage originators you’ll find anywhere in the nation.”
