A Houston-based staffing firm is looking to fill more than 1,000 mortgage positions in 11 states. Among open assignments are underwriters and originators.Talent Tree has temporary assignments available for over 1,000 people, a statement from the company said. The jobs are available in 11 states including California, Florida and Texas.
Around 400 of the available positions are for loan processors. These positions, which require candidates to have a high school diploma and two years’ experience, will be required to perform “a variety of loan documentation duties on moderately complex loans.” Other duties include closing, compliance and other standard processing functions. Underwriter openings also account for approximately 400 of the opportunities. People in these assignments will be responsible to a varying degree “for reviewing, analyzing, approving and underwriting the difficult, most complex individual consumer requests and products within company and industry guidelines.” Some underwriters will lead or train other staff members. Roughly 200 loan originators positions round out the remaining openings. Originators will solicit and take applications on prospects developed through telemarketing and leads generated from affinity relationships, retail branches and direct-to-consumer marketing. The positions have been designated as temporary-only by the hiring lenders. While Talent Tree declined to disclose who the hiring lenders are, one marketing piece from the staffing firm alluded to Wells Fargo. Compensation for the available jobs ranges from $15 an hour to $66 an hour. The duration of the assignments is from one to 11 months, according to Talent Tree — which is taking e-mail inquiries at sa@talenttree.com. |
