The mortgage business was little changed from the final three months of last year at Churchill Mortgage, though loan closings were slightly better on a year-over-year basis.
Residential loan production worked out to 1,692 loans for $0.294 billion during the first quarter of this year, according to an origination survey completed by the company for Mortgage Daily’s first-quarter ranking of lenders.
Churchill’s production was little changed from the fourth-quarter 2012, when 1,674 loans for $0.299 billion were originated.
But the Brentwood, Tenn.-based company closed more loans than a year earlier, when 1,415 loans were funded for $0.246 billion.
All of Churchill’s business is originated through the retail lending channel.
Churchill reported that it serviced no home loans.
Headcount finished March at 319 people.
Human resources were expanded from 303 employees at the end of last year. There were roughly 250 people employed as of March 31, 2012.
