| A restructuring of operations led to the resignation of Wachovia Corp.’s mortgage chief.
C.D. Davies resigned from the role of president of Wachovia Mortgage on Oct. 31, company spokeswoman Jennifer Darwin told MortgageDaily.com. He served in this position for three years and was with the company a total of 18 years. “The opportunities changed as a result of the restructuring of retail credit division, and he made the choice to leave,” she said. The restructuring came after a review by head of retail mortgage and credit group, Jim Judd, Darwin said. In August, Wachovia announced Judd would lead the combined mortgage operations of Wachovia and Golden West Financial Corp., which completed their merger early last month. Judd was previously president of Golden West subsidiary World Savings. |
