The acquisition of a growing firm will help a New York-based company expand its own outsourcing services for mortgage originators and servicers.
Among the businesses operated by Accenture is an outsourcing service, and that business has just expanded with its acquisition of another outsourcing firm that has been on a major recruiting campaign for the past two years.
In a press release Friday, Accenture said that it has completed the acquisition of Zenta Mortgage Services.
Zenta, which now operates as part of Accenture Credit Services, is a business process outsourcing firm also based in New York and services residential and commercial mortgage companies.
Headcount at Zenta stands at around 3,700 people in India, the Philippines and the United States.
“Our clients are looking for consistent, high-quality mortgage-processing capabilities to meet the rising demand for refinancing among homeowners,” the statement said.
Accenture noted that the acquisition, which was originally announced in August, significantly expands its ability to help lenders, mortgage servicers and real estate investment trusts “retool and streamline their operations, enhance customer experience, and improve profitability.”
More than 100 “major lending institutions” are clients of Accenture, according to the news release.
In December 2009, Zenta planned to create 1,002 new jobs in North Carolina during the following five years as part of an $8.6 million deal with North Carolina’s Economic Investment Committee. At the time, it already employed 263 people there.
