Quicken Loans Inc., which has grown its staff size by more than 7,000 people over the past four years, is hiring hundreds more.
As of the end of 2009, the Detroit-based online lender had a national staff of less than 3,000 employees.
Fast forward to the end of last month, and headcount at Quicken had risen to 10,000. Many of its employees are housed at its headquarters in Downtown Detroit.
But the expansion hasn’t ended.
Quicken Director of Communications Aaron Emerson said in a statement that the company is in the process of recruiting another 500 employees.
Among the open jobs are positions in mortgage banking, servicing and marketing. The company is also hiring technology personnel.
“All these positions are available for immediate hire and will be filled as quickly as qualified candidates are identified,” Emerson said in the statement.
Quicken is hosting a hiring fair on Saturday at the Chase Building.
