Quarterly mortgage originations were modestly higher than one year earlier at Churchill Mortgage Corp., while the size of the lender’s staff expanded.
For the three months that ended on Dec. 31, 2015, the Brentwood, Tennessee-based firm closed 1,453 residential loans for $0.292 billion.
The numbers, along with other operational details, were provided as part of the Mortgage Daily Fourth Quarter 2015 Mortgage Origination Survey.
Business was barely changed compared to the final quarter of 2014, when Churchill funded 1,465 units for $0.290 billion.
As of the end of 2015, the mortgage firm serviced six loans for a total of
$0.001 billion.
The mortgage servicing portfolio was up minimally from the end of 2014, when four loans for less than $0.001 billion were serviced.
On the most-recent servicing portfolio, four loans were serviced for third parties.
Churchill finished last year with 370 employees on its payroll.
Headcount has grown compared to Dec. 31, 2014, when 312 people worked for the company.
