A new headquarters facility that is under construction for Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp. could ultimately reach 150,000 square feet.
In a news release Wednesday, the lender said it is breaking ground on the construction of a 97,000-square-foot facility in Madison, Wisconsin.
The office building will become the mortgage banking firm’s new corporate headquarters, which is currently located across the street in Sun Prairie. (after this story was published, Fairway advised Mortgage Daily that it’s current headquarters is in Madison)
“It is just a few miles from one of its most successful branch offices in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin,” the announcement said of the new location. “Easily accessible by mass transit and just a few minutes from restaurants, shopping, hotels and other area businesses, the new corporate location is an excellent choice for employees and visitors alike.”
| Fairway noted that the new location can be expanded to 150,000 square feet with two additions.
Fairway also has nearly 200,000 square feet of space in a Carrollton, Texas, corporate location. Fairway reports a staff of more than 3,500 employees at over 250 locations. |
