Among several mortgage executives who have recently secured new jobs is the former head of Bank of America Corp.’s mortgage business.
Barbara Desoer, who previously ran Bank of America Home Loans, is being promoted to chief executive officer of Citibank, N.A., on April 1, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Desoer, who joined Citi in October 2013, left BofA in February 2012. She replaces Eugene M. McQuade, who is retiring after five years in the position.
In Detroit, Hunt Gersin has been named division president of Your Neighborhood Mortgage Experts, a division of Towne Mortgage Co., where he has worked since 2012. He previously worked at Interactive Financial for 18 years.
Last month, Caliber Home Loans Inc. reported that it had appointed 23-year veteran John Bianchi as executive vice president of retail. Bianchi’s resume includes more than a decade at Countrywide Home Loans-BofA and five years at North American Mortgage Co.-Washington Mutual.
Irving, Texas-based Caliber said earlier this month that it has recruited Carl Streicher as its new regional vice president of retail lending for the California region. He previously worked for Freedom Mortgage for six months and spent 11 years at BofA before that.
Another recent Caliber hiring was Linda Steiner, who was brought on in February as regional vice president of wholesale for Northern California. She most recently worked for SunTrust Bank for a little more than a year and also spent time at MetLife Home Loans and CitiMortgage Inc.
Carrington Mortgage Services LLC appointed Harold Michaud to the position of area manager for Northern California, according to a Feb. 24 news release. Michaud, who has 21 years in the mortgage business, was recruited from Academy Mortgage Corp.
Mark Tribuna was hired as a senior vice president and chief business development officer of Guardian Mortgage Inc., the Plano, Texas-based company announced last month. He has two decades of operational management experience, including 16 years at Nation One Mortgage Company Inc.
The new correspondent lending sales manager at 360 Mortgage Group LLC is Andy Gottman, the Austin, Texas-based company announced Tuesday. Gottman’s 18 years in the business included time at Wells Fargo Wholesale Mortgage and American Mortgage Network.
