Wholesaler Settles Claims of Mortgage Discrimination

Southport Bank of Kenosha, Wis., will pay $687,000 to African-American and Hispanic mortgage borrowers to settle federal allegations that they were charged more for loans than whites, the U.S. Justice Department said Thursday.
