Two mortgage bankers have appointed executives to help build their retail businesses. Recent executive moves at other firms are intended to strengthen digital assets, legal resources and servicing management.
In Troy, Mich.,
Justin Glass was promoted to the position chief digital officer at United Wholesale Mortgage, the lender announced earlier this month. His prior position was senior vice president of business development. He has spent a decade at United Wholesale and Shore Mortgage, which was previously acquired by United Wholesale.
In his new role,
Glass will oversee core digital platforms including Internet, mobile and customer relationship management. He’ll also have responsibility for loan transaction systems and future digital innovation.
One of the nation’s top-producing loan originators — Melissa L. Cohn — has been hired as president of GuardHill Financial Corp., a press release last month said.
Cohn’s three decades in the business most recently included a two-year stint at Guaranteed Rate. Before that, she was president of Manhattan Mortgage, which she founded in 1985.
The new executive vice president and general counsel at Prospect Holding Company LLC is Joseph J. Grassi III, an announcement Wednesday said. Grassi’s last employer was Fannie Mae, where he was appointed deputy counsel in 2003. He reportedly has more than a quarter century’s commercial and residential real estate legal experience.
Caliber Home Loans Inc. announced last week that Kevin A. Ginsburg has been hired as regional vice president. He is charged with expanding the Irving, Texas-based company’s retail lending business in Central and South Texas.
Since 2001, Ginsburg has held jobs at Countrywide Home Loans, GMAC ResCap and United Lending, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Another executive move intended to expand retail lending is the promotion of Steve Scheiern to national retail sales manager at 1st Reverse Mortgage USA.
Before joining the Lakewood, Colo.-based company in 2011, Scheiern — who has reportedly worked in real estate finance for nearly a quarter-century — was employed by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
Keith J. Dugas was hired by FFC Mortgage Corp. as regional vice-president, a Dec. 4 statement said. He’ll recruit new branches and originators for the Southern United States from his office in New Orleans.
In the servicing sector,
John Matuszeski was hired as vice president of mortgage servicing by Gateway Mortgage Group, a news release this month said. Before joining the Tulsa, Okla.-based firm, he spent 23 years at Bank of the West.
Gateway reports a mortgage servicing portfolio of more than $5 billion.
