A wholesaler that has capitalized on the origination of loans that don’t meet the requirements for Qualified Mortgages has opened a new Texas facility with plans to hire dozens of new employees.
Atlanta-based Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions LLC claims that it is the largest wholesale and correspondent provider of non-QM loans.
Parent Angel Oak Companies
recently reported that non-QM originations from all of its affiliates, including Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions, came to $1.1 billion during 2017.
On Tuesday, the subsidiary announced that it is opening a new operations center in the Dallas-suburb of Las Colinas. Services currently handled through its Atlanta headquarters will be replicated at the new facility.
Angel Oak intends on hiring 30 people over the next 90 days to work in Las Colinas. In addition, plans are to expand staffing even more over time.
“With this new operations center in Dallas, we will be able to provide services to our clients as we expand our presence throughout Texas and the West Coast,” Angel Oak Companies Managing Partner Mike Fierman said in today’s statement. “The Dallas area has long been a hub of the mortgage industry and home to top-tier professional talent, making it the perfect place for Angel Oak to continue its growth as the national leader in the non-agency marketplace.”
