Free agency in single-family lending is in full swing, and moves have been made in the boardroom, C-Suites and mid-level management offices.
PHH Corp. reported late last month that Thomas P. Gibbons and Deborah M. Reif will not stand for re-election to the board of directors.
In their places, James Neuhauser and Kevin Stein will be nominated as directors at the Mount Laurel, New Jersey-based firm’s 2017 annual meeting.
The change is being made as a result of an agreement with EJF Capital LLC and affiliates, which collectively owns 10 percent of PHH’s common stock.

Texas Capital Bank said that the president of its mortgage division, Gary Ort, is retiring at the end of June.
Taking over from Ort is Jack Nunnery, director of correspondent lending.
Since 1985, Nunnery has hung his hat at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Stewart Lender Services. He started with Texas Capital in 2009.
“Jack Nunnery has been at Gary’s side the whole way and brings to the role not only a deep knowledge of the business and its past but also a clear vision for its future,” Texas Capital Bank President and CEO Keith Cargill said in the news release.
The new chief financial officer of San Francisco-based LendingHome is Robert Stiles, according to an announcement last week.
He’ll be “instrumental” in reaching the next phase of business growth
Stiles’ decade in the home-lending business was most recently as CFO of Nationstar Mortgage, where he worked from 2013 until March of this year. Before that, he spent three years at Altisource Portfolio Solutions SA.

LLC reported Kevin Harrigan was promoted to chief operating officer from chief risk and administrative officer.
Harrigan started at New Penn in 2013. He has 30 years’ experience — including time at Bank of America Corp., CIT Group Inc. and KeyCorp.

Impac Mortgage Holdings
Inc. said Wednesday that Thomas B. Akin was appointed to its board of directors. The addition of Akin, managing partners of the Talkot Fund for 20 years, brought board count to seven.

Sean M. Marr was hired as the director of correspondent lending at Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions. During the past five years he has also worked at Freedom Mortgage Corp., PHH Mortgage Corp. and Stonegate Mortgage Corp.
In Colorado, Catrina Modafferi Brogan was hired as the new retail regional manager at Paramount Residential Mortgage Group Inc. for the Rocky Mountain territory,
a statement earlier this month said. Since 1987, her employers have included Cornerstone Home Lending Inc., Mellon Mortgage Co. and New America Financial Inc.
Corey Moore was hired as regional sales manager at Sierra Pacific Mortgage, a May 16 statement said. He’ll build the lender’s wholesale presence in midwest markets like Chicago, Detroit and Minneapolis. His 23 years in the business included time at BofA, Stearns Lending Inc. and Washington Mutual Inc.
Ross Mortgage Corp.
vice president and co-branch manager Tim Pascarella has been promoted to president, a May 15 statement said. The 15-year employee took the role from Tim Ross, who is transitioning into the CEO role. Ross has three decades in the business.
Former Equifax executive Matthew T. Orlando joined Lenders One Mortgage Cooperative as vice president of national programs, the Luxemborg-based company said this month.
Twenty-year veteran Pete Meosky has been hired as senior vice president, director of operations,
Evesham Mortgage LLC said earlier this month. Meosky was previously on the payroll of BofA, Greentree Mortgage Co. and TD.
Several hirings announced on May 8 by Westbury, New York-based Mid-Island Mortgage Corp. include
Stacey Canderelli, director of marketing, and Christopher Ostrowski, director of business development.
