Promotions, New Execs at William Mills

ATLANTA (Jan. 25, 2010) — William Mills Agency, the nation’s largest independent financial PR and technology public relations firm, announced that it has named Andy Payment as director of New Media and promoted Nneka Egwuatu, Joy Harper and David Jones to senior account agent.

As director of New Media, Payment’s responsibilities will include the management of all agency and client digital and social media marketing strategies. Payment has been with William Mills Agency since August 2004 and, during his tenure, has led a number of successful public relations and marketing campaigns on behalf of agency clients. He is an expert at working with new types of media to develop online communities for businesses using online sources such as blogs, podcasts, message boards and social media sites. Payment holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and an MBA in finance from Georgia State University.

Egwuatu joined the agency more than three years ago and has successfully managed strategic media relations campaigns for a host of mortgage and credit union industry clients. A graduate of Clark Atlanta University, Egwuatu earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a concentration in public relations. She also holds a master’s degree in media studies from Pennsylvania State University.

Harper has more than six years of experience with the agency and, during her tenure, has successfully represented agency clients to key mortgage and banking industry media. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Georgia and is an active member of the Atlanta Press Club and the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She also sits on the board of No Paws Left Behind, Inc., a 501c3 not for profit organization created with the purpose of providing distressed borrowers with relocation options for their pets during the foreclosure process and changing legislation that makes the removal of distressed animals from abandoned homes illegal.

In his third year at William Mills Agency, Jones is a public relations veteran with more than seven years of proven experience in managing the public relations and branding functions for companies in the banking, mortgage and non-profit sector. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor of arts in journalism, with a major in public relations and a minor in English. He is an active member of the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, recently serving as co-chair of the chapter’s annual professional development conference.
