$4.9 Billion January Production at Flagstar

The Troy, Mich.-based company originated $4.9 billion in loans in January, a 40% hike from the $3.5 billion during the same time last year.

That’s an 8% dip, however, from the corporate all-time high of $5.3 billion during December.

Flagstar was chartered in 1987 as First Security Savings Bank. Its shares were up $0.50 at $24.55 during late-morning trading, according to CBSMarketwatch.com.
