JPMorgan Chase & Co. is hiring hundreds of employees in New York.The job additions include loan specialists, underwriters and mortgage processers, Michael Fusco, Chase Media Relations, told MortgageDaily.com in a statement.
Around 250 new jobs are involved, according to Fusco. The hirings are occurring at the same location in Rochester where 450 home-equity line-of-credit positions were cut last year. Including 100 HELOC employees who were kept on to support mortgage modifications, 350 people will be working at the Rochester office. The hirings, expected to be complete by the end of the summer, will support struggling borrowers. In October 2008, Chase said it expected to increase its total counseling force to 2,500 positions. |
