A new branch program launched last month targets mortgage brokers as well as other production personell. Recruits will have a national platform to offer conventional and government programs with an emphasis on the government-funded refinance program.
A new retail mortgage branch program was launched by Nations Lending Corp.
In an announcement issued Monday, the Independence, Ohio-based company said that it is recruiting mortgage branch managers, top producers, mortgage loan officers and bankers “with an entrepreneurial spirit” for the program.
The branch program was first developed in 2009 and rolled out last month.
“Services that are provided in the NLC’s Retail Mortgage Branch Program include cutting edge technology, lead generation, mortgage processing, underwriting services, marketing compliance oversight, industry compliance and regulation management, access to correspondent pricing schedules, information technology support and a broad range of mortgage products,” the announcement stated.
While mortgage brokers are being shunned by some of the nation’s biggest mortgage lenders, accoring to Nations, it is embracing them and giving them the opportunity to operate as a mortgage banker without the costs normally associated with such a transition. Those who take advantage of the new program will be able to “strengthen and improve the financial products they offer” through a nationally recognized brand.
Nations says that is is already licensed in 35 states. In addition, it has has received regulatory approval to open additional mortgage loan branches in other states.
Nations is approved as a direct-endorsed lender by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and as an automatic lender by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Annual production excceeds $500 million, according to the statement.
Branches are alredy operating in Arizona, Maryland and Michigan as well as Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
The nin-year-old mortgage firm noted that it has an ability to transfer its resources to focus on identifying borrowers who might be eligible for the expanded Home Affordable Refinance Program.
