Two upcoming webinars being hosted by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System will help mortgage firms meet state requirements when making changes to their license information.
Many states require that mortgage companies provide the state regulator with notice before making certain changes to their license information.
A new functionality, the Advance Change Notice, will enable companies to provide a future effective date for NMLS record changes.
The NMLS is hosting a workshop in June 21 and July 10 at 1 p.m. Eastern to demonstrate the Advance Change Notice process.
The event costs $75 and will cover how to review the changes and determine state-specific requirements.
Tools and resources available at the NMLS Resource Center will be covered, as will events related to the notice.
In addition, the session will cover modifications and cancellations for the Advance Change Notice.
The NMLS recommends the webinar for company users and account administrators.
