In addition to a trio of real estate finance executives who were recently hired to fill a variety of positions, two senior executives have been promoted within their own companies.
Wells Fargo & Co.’s head of home lending Franklin Codel will join the company’s operating committee and take over all of consumer lending, the company reported Monday.
Codel, who
was named head of Wells Fargo Home Lending in August 2015, will continue to oversee the mortgage unit. He has more than 27 years’ consumer finance experience.
The new president and chief operating officer of Fulton Mortgage Co. is Jeffrey J. Scheuren, Fulton Financial Corp. announced Tuesday.
Scheuren, who joined the Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based firm in 2010, was promoted from vice president of secondary marketing.
Among Scheuren’s prior employers are
Gateway Funding Diversified Mortgage Services LP and National Penn Bank.
Southern Trust Mortgage said last week that Jarrett Stanley has been hired as vice president of marketing.
His previous employers include Movement Mortgage LLC and Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group.

Robert M. Zielinski was recruited from Academy Mortgage Corp. to be regional vice president of distributed retail in the Florida market.
Zielinski’s 30 years in the business included time at National City Bank and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
John Kulka
has been hired by Schmidt Mortgage Co. as manager of new business development, a press release Thursday said.
Before joining the Mid America Mortgage Inc. unit, Kulka spent a quarter century in the business — including eight years at Ameriquest Mortgage Co.
