Property data and analytics firm CoreLogic Inc. said Tuesday that it will be closing its office in Charlotte, N.C., laying off 46 people.
Employees have been notified that the jobs at the document services location in Charlotte will be consolidated at other CoreLogic offices in Chapin, S.C., and Westlake, Texas, spokeswoman Alyson Austin said.
The division serves lenders and other companies who need property record retrieval or mortgage document processing, among other functions.
The office closing will be complete by October. CoreLogic’s Charlotte location is in an office complex on Forest Point Circle, off Arrowood Road.
CoreLogic is based in Irvine, Calif., and counts mortgage brokers, banks, insurers, real estate listing services and government agencies as clients. Austin said no clients would be affected by the office closing.
CoreLogic also issues reports on home prices and foreclosure statistics for markets including Charlotte. Those will not be affected, either.
