The former president of PrimeLending has been hired by Flagstar Bank to work in its retail production division. His career spans several major home lenders.
PrimeLending announced in October 2017 that it had replaced its president of five years, Scott Bristol. He had been with the company since May 2009.
No reason was given at the time by PrimeLending for Bristol’s departure from the Dallas-based firm, and he didn’t respond to a subsequent inquiry about why he left.
But Bristol turned up the following month at New American Funding as senior vice president national sales manager.
Now, Bristol has found a new home.
On Wednesday, Flagstar Bank announced that
Bristol has been hired as senior vice president and national production manager of its retail mortgage business.
“In his new role, Scott will partner with Susan McHan, president of distributed retail for Flagstar, to create a growth strategy for retail, develop and execute a technology roadmap for Flagstar’s national retail operation, and optimize Flagstar’s platform to support its loan officers in growing their business,” today’s statement said.
In addition to his positions at PrimeLending and New American, Bristol’s more than two decades in the business included time at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Countrywide Home Loans.
