The latest rankings of best employers are in, and five mortgage organizations made the cut. Also among firms recognized was a compliance service provider and a trade group.
PrimeLending said it made the 2017 Best Workplaces for Diversity and Best Workplaces for Parents lists from Fortune and Great Place to Work.
Dallas-based PrimeLending, which is a subsidiary of
Hilltop Holdings Inc., last reported its headcount at 2,800 employees as of year-end 2015.
Primary Residential Mortgage Inc., which also has 2,800 people on its payroll, recently reported that it was awarded the 2017 Top Workplaces honor by The Salt Lake Tribune. It was also recognized as the top company for work-life flexibility.
“PRMI’s leadership team believes in its ongoing commitment to build a healthy organizational culture,” the statement said. “They understand the strong relationship between happy employees and productive employees.”
Over in Tustin, California, New American Funding said last month it was ranked No. 42 by Fortune and Great Place to Work as
one of the top workplaces for diversity in the country.
New American has seen its staffing grow to
2,600 people as of Dec. 5 from 2,300 as of April 25. Among the employees surveyed the ranking, 97 percent reportedly believed it has a great atmosphere.
Academy Mortgage announced last month that it was the only home lender to make Glassdoor’ Best Places to Work in 2018 list. It’s standing was based on reviews by 350 of its 3,200 employees.
Draper, Utah-based Academy, which operates 330 branches and lends in 49 states, said that it came in at
No. 18 among large companies — those with headcount of at least a thousand.
A Dec. 5 news release indicated that MB Financial Bank’s mortgage division was recognized as top workplace by Energage LLC. It was the fifth consecutive year on the list for the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based company.
For the fourth time, automated compliance developer QuestSoft has been designated as a top workplace by The Orange County Register, a Dec. 8 statement said.
The Laguna Hills, California-based firm said it ranked among the top 140 companies in a county that has more nearly 97,800 employee-based businesses.
The American Bankers Association reported Wednesday that it was
certified as a great workplace by Great Place to Work. The trade group said its policies and programs — including flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities and benefits to reduce financial burden on commuters, new parents and student loan borrowers — help balance the needs of its diverse workforce.
