Compared to three months earlier, business was down at Prosperity Home Mortgage LLC. But lending activity has improved compared to 12 months earlier.
In the three months that ended on Dec. 31, 2015, Prosperity closed 2,305 residential loans for $0.644 billion.
The
Chantilly, Virginia-based firm disclosed the data as part of its participation in the Mortgage Daily Fourth Quarter 2015 Mortgage Origination Survey.
Lending activity eased from the third quarter, when 2,796 home loans were closed for $0.767 billion.
But business was better than in the final quarter of last year, when 1,952 mortgages were funded for $0.557 billion.
From Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 of last year, Prosperity Home Mortgage closed 10,379 loans for $2.936 billion.
All of the loans closed were originated through the retail channel.
No mortgage servicing portfolio was reported.
Staffing grew to 404 employees from 389 people at the end of the third-quarter 2015
and 371 people at the end of 2014.
