Although residential lending was off at Prosperity Home Mortgage LLC, the mortgage organization reported an expansion of its human resources.
Mortgage originations during the three months ended March 31 totaled 2,037 loans for $0.560 billion.
That was based on Prosperity Home Mortgage’s participation in the Mortgage Daily First Quarter 2016 Mortgage Origination Survey.
As has been the case for many lenders so far during this earnings season, new business at Prosperity slowed from 2,305 loans funded for $0.644 billion in the prior three-month period.
Business was also down from the year-earlier quarter, a period that saw 2,129 home loans closed for $0.616 billion.
All of the mortgage banker’s originations are retail.
No servicing portfolio was reported, but Prosperity did report staffing which stood at 430 people as of March 31, 2016.
Headcount expanded from 404 employees as of the end of last year and 384 people as the same point last year.
