The former chief executive officer of CitiMortgage Inc. is stepping in to take over as the new senior executive at Caliber Home Loans Inc.
Sanjiv Das was appointed CEO of CitiMortgage in July 2008. It was his second time at Citigroup Inc., where he worked from 1991 to 1999.
Das stayed at the
O’Fallon, Missouri-based home lender until May 2013, when he left because he was “pursuing other professional opportunities.”
On Friday, Caliber Home Loans announced that Das is taking over as its CEO.
Das, who starts his new job next Monday, takes the reins from Joe Anderson, who retiring from his roles as CEO and chairman.
“His industry and public company experience make him a perfect fit to lead Caliber going forward,” Caliber Director George Jones said in the statement. “We are confident that under Sanjiv’s stewardship, Caliber will be well positioned to continue its positive momentum.”
The statement didn’t indicate who will be taking over as chairman of the Irving, Texas-based company.
