Matthew D Van Fossen has been named CEO. Van Fossen, 31, started with the company in 2011 as chief operating officer.

The
EVP of direct lending at loanDepot LLC, Chad Smith, was caught on video when loanDepot CEO and chairman Anthony Hsieh told him he was promoted to president of direct lending. Smith started at the Irvine, California-based organization in 2015.

In San Diego, Guild Mortgage Co. named Gabe Minton EVP of technology. Guild picked up the executive from the fading PHH Mortgage Corp. Before that he worked at ServiceLink, and he was “was one of the leading architects and founding members of MISMO.”
Collin Cochrane was promoted to CFO of Redwood Trust Inc. from his role as controller, a news release Thursday said. He starts his new role on Sept. 1. Cochrane replaces interim CFO Chris Abate, who has been in that role since being promoted to president in July 2016.
Prior to joining Mill Valley, California-based Redwood in 2013,
Cochrane worked for iStar Financial Inc. and Ernst & Young, according to his LinkedIn profile
Redwood additionally said it hired Dashiell Robinson to oversee financial and portfolio investment functions in the newly created role of EVP beginning in October.
