Hundreds of mortgage jobs are being added by JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Louisiana.
The New York-based company is hiring the employees in Monroe, a Chase spokesman confirmed to MortgageDaily.com in a statement. Of 250 positions being added, most were filled within the past few weeks, he said. The rest of the openings are expected to be filled by next month. The servicing jobs are in document imaging, record management, lien release and custody & quality assurance, the spokesman indicated. Chase employed 220,255 people as of June 30, including 103,733 in retail financial services, according to earnings data. In July 2008, Chase employed 7,400 servicing employees. Last month, Chase reported that it has added 950 loan counselors this year. Its counseling staff stood at 3,500 with hundreds of immediate additions planned. Chase has also opened 27 new homeownership centers. |
