In addition, Chase reported earlier this year that it had hired nearly 8,000 servicing employees since 2009 to deal with a growing number of distressed borrowers.
The lender said in April that it planned to add as many as 3,000 mortgage servicing jobs, including between 500 and a thousand planned for the Columbus, Ohio, area.
